Autoplay

If you are new to the world of slot games there’s a few things you need to be aware of before you start playing.

Obviously, the likes of variance, paylines, and features are the first aspects of slot games you should become familiar with (and we have guides on these) but there’s some other things to get used to as well, and one is the autoplay function.

What is Autoplay?

Autoplay is a feature that is present in most slot titles, and can be a real timesaver if used right. The point of Autoplay is to take away the necessity to press the Spin button for every spin of the reels you take, instead, you can select a set amount of spins in Autoplay, and the game will take the spins for you.

The Risks

Autoplay comes with its risks if you don’t use it properly, because you can find your money disappears very quickly if you pick too many spins

Most Autoplay functions come with securities in place to avoid this issue. Firstly, there’s the ability to choose the number of spins that the Autoplay function takes (it’s always sensible to start with five) and you can also select the bet amount so you know exactly how much you’re spending.

You will also usually be able to select a maximum loss, so you don’t spend more than you’re comfortable to.

It should be added that all Autoplay functions will stop when a feature is triggered, so you never miss out on these.

Why use Autoplay?

Autoplay is useful to save time, but it is also very helpful if you are someone who likes to play more than one slot at once, because you can have three or four Autoplay functions running at once.

If you are careful, and keep in control of the amount you are betting, Autoplay functions can be one of the most useful parts of a slot game.
