Gambling Therapy

Gambling Therapy is an online support service for people living outside the UK who have been affected by gambling problems. The service forms part of the Gordon Moody Association, which delivers help for those suffering as a result of problem gambling within the UK.

Operating as an online resource, Gambling Therapy is a free to use service that makes help and support easy to access through a number of channels.

Support Helpline

The support helpline provides one-to-one information, advice and support via online chat. A team of experts is on hand to reply and will be able to direct you to further resources in your country of residence while offering an understanding ear. You don't need to use your own name and you can get in touch if you're affected by someone close to you gambling.

Support Groups

Online support groups are regularly held for both gamblers and their friends and families. These work like an online group chat and are run either by trained support workers or peers.

Forums

The forums on the Gambling Therapy website are open 24 hours a day and can provide valuable support at odd times of day if you're a night owl or live in a different time zone. There are various forums for journals, friends and family, meetings and fighting addiction amongst others.

Email Advice

The helpline service is also available via email if you'd prefer to use that method of communication or if you need to get in touch when the helpline service is closed. Gambling Therapy aims to get back to those who email within two days.

The Gambling Therapy site is available in a number of languages including English, French, Spanish, Polish and Chinese. The site has thousands of members so you know you're not alone and that you can discuss concerns regarding gambling problems with both experienced support workers and those also experiencing the same difficulties.
